Here's some inside secrets on some of the best European Xmas Markets. Xmas shopping should be more than just heading down to High Street for a couple of quick mass produced presents so why not grab a cheap Ryanair flight and go have some fun shopping! Here's a quick list of some great Xmas markets:
* Germany. Check out the Wilheim Gedachtniskirche in Berlin ,the Munich market in the Marienplatz or buy real Gingerbread at the Nuremberg markets.
*Belgium. Jump on Eurostar and head to Brussels for their famous Xmas markets that are open all the way to January 6 in case you miss December 25 !
*France. One of the best is in Lille and open until Xmas Eve. It takes place in Rihour in the centre of the town.
*Denmark. Head to the Tivoli Gardens in the centre of Copenhagen where the centre piece is a massive Xmas tree
*Austria. The big market in Vienna in front of the city hall is open until December 24.
*Switzerland. Try the traditional St Nicholas pastries and butter cookies in Basel by the River Rhine - magic !
